Module of Clinical Pathology within the course in "Clinical methodology and Semeiotics" - online activities

Published: Thursday, March 5, 2020 by Savino Sciascia

Given the exceptionality of the current situation, and in order to best organize the first three classes of the Module of Clinical Pathology included in the course in "Clinical methodology and semeiotics", I would suggest to deliver our activities as a “flipped classroom” according to the following schedule:

•Lesson n.1 (originally scheduled for 04.03.2020): self-study. Classroom attendance is not required. Articles and learning material are available for individual study on CampusNet.
•Lesson n.2 (originally scheduled for 06.03.2020): self-study. Classroom attendance is not required. Articles and learning material are available for individual study on CampusNet.
•Lesson n.3 (originally scheduled for 13.03.2020): self-study. Classroom attendance is not required. Articles and learning material are available for individual study on CampusNet.
•Lesson n.4. On Monday 16.03: group discussion and learning with practical clinical scenarios (to be confirmed)

A flipped classroom is an instructional strategy and a type of blended learning that reverses the traditional learning environment by delivering instructional content, often online, outside of the classroom. It moves activities, including those that may have traditionally been considered homework, into the classroom. In a flipped classroom, students watch online lectures, collaborate in online discussions, or carry out research at home while engaging in concepts in the classroom with the guidance of a mentor.

Please, do not hesitate to get in touch if you have any question or concerns.
