Course objectives

The course aims to provide knowledge of epidemiology, etiology, pathogenetic mechanisms, pathophysiology, histopathology, clinical features of stomatological diseases, including oral and dental diseases and to provide elements of a decision-making process that leads to a proper clinical management of patients.

Learning assessment methods

Assessment method includes a 10-15 minutes written exam consisting of 3-5 brief open questions. The positive result of the written test will allow access to the oral exam as detailed in the exam rules accessible through Moodle.

Suggested readings and bibliography

Students are provided with the material used for the lessons (power-point slides in .pdf format in colours) and with publications from current literature. This material acts as a support and guide to the study, and to the preparation of the exam.
