  • to review the main screening, diagnostic and therapeutic aspects of thrombophilia
  • to identify the main clinical and laboratory conditions related to the antiphospholipid syndrome conditions
  • to identify the main management protocols for APS patients

Students are expected to obtain an in-depth knowledge about
a) the pathology and pathophysiology of APS.
b) laboratory values from routine blood examination and be able to
differentiate between pathologies.
c) differential diagnosis based on clinical examination and laboratory values.
d) basic understanding of the treatment protocols in place for APS.
