Digital Mediators
Digital mediators collaborate with the University to offer support with managing online group activities.
The students appointed to this post are able to manage online communication software and have organizational and educational skills specific to the degree programmes and the department to which they have been assigned.
A junior digital mediator was selected for each degree programme:
Medicine and Surgery - Orbassano: Aurora Reiso
Nursing - Cuneo and Orbassano: Valentina Garzena
Psychiatric Rehabilitation Techniques - Orbassano: Camilla Demasi
Physical Education and Exercise Sciences: Marco Testa
The senior digital mediator for the Department of Clinical and Biological Sciences is Marco Testa.
The junior digital mediators will help manage and monitor online teaching, helping to coordinate different communication channels, check all information circulated in non-institutional channels (especially by countering fake news and providing correct information). They will also have the task of disseminating news from institutional channels.
The senior digital mediator will work in close collaboration with the junior mediators by coordinating and monitoring their activities, making sure that the planned actions are carried out appropriately in all degree programmes. The senior digital mediator will also liaise with the Deputy Director of Teaching Activities, check for any outstanding problems in the delivery of online content in each degree programme and prepare support plans where needed.
Digital mediators will communicate entirely through Hangouts, a Google app which you can use on your laptop, desktop computer or smartphone. You can access Hangouts with your Unito account.
