Course objectives
The ADE will be organized in two days and it will cover the major emerging and re-emerging microorganisms (including intracellular bacteria, arboviruses, haemorragic fevers and uncommon infectious causes of encephalitis), techniques (including metagenomic approaches) and emerging treatments (including microbiome modifications and immune-base therapies). The course will include both traditional learning and interactive App-based activities and additional readings. The objectives include the acquisition of basic knowledge of these pathogens/treatments and the application of flow charts for identifying common/less common microorganism.
