Course objectives
The student must understand the normal function and the pathological processes and diseases that affect the adrenal gland, kidney, ureter, bladder, urethra in the male and female, and the prostate and male external genitalia. Moreover, the student must know the most used therapies (surgical and non-surgical) of the diseases.

KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING Acquisition of theoretical knowledge concerning urolgoy with a focus on most relevant cancers, functional disorders, stone diseases and endocrine disorders.
APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING Acquisition of the ability to apply the theoretical urology knowledge to the solution of clinical cases, with a focus on clinically relevant issues.
MAKING JUDGEMENTS Acquisition of aware judgment autonomy concerning evaluation and interpretation of clinical data to achieve strategic choices in clinically relevant situations.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS Acquisition of multidisciplinary communication skills and expertise, as well as the acquisition of technical terminology.
LEARNING SKILLS. Acquisition of autonomous learning capacity and self-assessment of its preparation, to undertake subsequent studies with a high degree of autonomy.

Course delivery
The course is delivered in 24 hours of lectures and 12 hours of exercises. The attendance is mandatory.

Learning assessment methods
Written (mandatory) and oral (optional) exam face to face.
The open questions and oral exam aim at verifying the acquisition of knowledge on the topics addressed during the course, the ability to discursively organize the knowledge, the quality of exposition and the competence in the use of specialized vocabulary.
The written test will consist of four open questions (maximum score of each = 5) and ten “true or false” questions (maximum score of each = 1).
The mark will be expressed in thirtieths. Test time: 60 min/student.
The positive outcome (≥ 18/30) of this test allows access to the optional oral test. The oral exam focuses on the topics addressed during the course.
Remarks:
In each examination period, at least one written and one oral session are proposed. In order to attend the written test, students are required to register on the ESSE3 platform. In case of problems, students may contact their teacher. The optional oral exam must be taken in the same examination period of the written exam. If the students fail the oral exam, they have to repeat the written test.
Anyway, please register yourself for both sessions, you will make easier and quicker the grade registration.
