Course objectives
The goal of this course is to explore and present the clinical features, diagnostic approach and therapeutic novelties regarding a group of heterogeneous and complex rare systemic diseases, namely idiopathic inflammatory myopathies (IIM).

At the end of the study course, The participant will be able to:
- acknowledge the main myositis subtypes in clinical practice and their pattern of organ involvement
- recognize clinical symptoms and signs related to IIM subtyes when confronted with them in clinical cases
- reckon available therapeutic options, their rationale and limitations
