Course objectives
The student is supposed to learn the anatomy of the muscoloskeletal system and peripheral nerves organization in order to better understand the pathogenesis, the diagnostic process and the treatment of the most frequent pathology affecting the muscoloskeletal system and the soft tissues.

At the end of the course the student will be asked to describe the anatomy of the locomotor system and peripheral nervous system.

- General aspects of bones, joints and skeletal muscles.
- General aspects of peripheral nerves and skeletal muscle innervations.
- Anatomy of the trunk: bones, joints, ligaments and muscles.
- Anatomy of the upperlimb: bones, joints (shoulder, elbow, wrist), muscles, nerves (median, ulnar, radial nerves).
- Anatomy of the lowerlimb: bones, joints (hip, knee, ankle), muscles, nerves (sciatic nerve).

Frontal lessons:
- 8 lessons of 2 hours each, in the classroom with the teacher and with slide support (for students that can not be in the class the lesson will be online at the link https://unito.webex.com/meet/stefania.raimondo)
Practical lessons:
- 8 groups of 12-13 students
- 1 lesson of 1 hour for each group

Learning assessment methods
The exam will be divided into 2 parts.
First part: written exam with multiple choice questions (10 questions for each module). Only one answer for each question is correct. In order to attend the second part of the exam, the student will have to correctly answer more than 50% (i.e. 6 out of 10) of the questions The mark obtained with the written part does not affect the final mark of the exam.
Second part: oral exam. The student will be supposed to obtain at least 18 out of 30 in each module to pass the exam.
